Lets improve BBU!

ok, we all have noticed the lack of new profiles recently.. and if that continues, this site will have to close and all of kings hard work and hiros brilliant work will go for nothing!

so we have to do something NOW!

first i said that before and say it now, i believe the black color isnt that appealing . so i suggest a brighter color.
second, a banner wich has the name of the site in, i made one but maybe if someone can make one that is more pro it will be better.

third, and the most important thing is advertising!
King, no offence but you gained a somehow bad reputation since brad refused to form an affiliation with you. but in the other hand, we have hiro, wich is well respected in the WBO. so i suggest we forget about the old thread and hiro should make a new one describing the kool system he made and making members exited to play.

ok, i also would like to say that the profile is kinda long. i myself hesitated before making one since its too tall,. am not sure if making it shorter is possible though!

I agree!! Hiro knows Brad somehow so he could advertise and stuff. Also about the color, IT WON'T change!! I tried to change it to lime green, it didn't work, i tried to give it a backround, it didn't work. So as soon as I can, I will change the backround.

and i forgot to say this: there is a lot of categories and forums! and most of them are in active. i say it would be better to have less active forums than a lot inactive ones.

I'm gonna leave those catagories and forums up for a little while and if they reamain inactive I will delete them.

Well, Brad won't affiliate until the website can prove itself as a more-than-one-shot type of deal. We need members and content (which we've more or less set the foundations for) before we approach him again. Major thing now is members, I suggest you guys hitting up communities that may have Role Players and others interested in beyblades and grabbing them. I'll be spamming gaiaonline for some myself ^^:

i never said you talk to brad about that. i was only saying that you are the one that should make an ad for it on WBO since you know the most about the system and .
because you are well known and respected there

try making a new thread which fully describes the system. and talk about stuff that will make them interested such as the items given...

Well even then, most of the members won't be too interested in joining until we can prove ourselves more. We have gained a few like JSC and yourself from there, more won't hurt but we're almost exhausted WBO of interested, active members.

ya your right.. also it will be too much if we made another thread about it there.

I started to help him around the first day he posted on the WBO forums, so nearly when he started it to my knowledge.

I think we DEFINITLY need a bigger ACTIVE memberlist and what content is Brad looking for in our site? And next time we approach him, I think you should Hiro.

In general, content. We have the roleplay which is good, the rest of the stuff we need is active discussion amongst active members. The content will stem from there.

guys this medz guy on WBO looks good in computer stuff, maybe we should contact him and see if he can make a system or something? :S

and what do you guys think of making a youtube video advertising the site?

hiro i really like the dice thing for items and stats and partly the battles.. but i believe that a battle system would be more appealing and less complicated.

is putting a battle system in a forum possible?

Unfortunately the way it is now is the only way to prevent cheating with these boards. If I left them to the players to post, editing could change the dice roll. I'm looking at writing a more... pokemon-esque text type battle system but that's more work. It'll be done but not in the foreseeable future only due to my schedule.

Honestly the dice battle system is very basic, it's not very difficult and people should be able to get the hang of it within a battle or two. This why the test post forum was created, people can try a mock battle or two there to figure things out.

another thign that is important is to have a simple short domain name.

now you can reach bbuniverse by only typing ( bbuniverse.tk ) on your browser!
but if less than 25 persons intered the site during the next 90days this domain name will be removed.

If u refresh it, it brings u to that portal that noone even bothers to check. The url in ur browser doesn't change for on-site links. Can that be fixed?

your right! i just realized that, so will it be better if when you refresh it brings you to the main index? i think i can do that!

I meant the .tk thing, but that will also help. Guys on the WBO actually had trouble finding the forums.

No. I mean we have 31 mems. The WBO has, like, 20k. How can i help the site to get more? This is the thread about the lack of new profiles, right?

ya lol, the things i listed are what we need imo. but you can always talk to people about it so they get exited to register.
